Teams to Watch in Conference Play

Teams to Watch

As the winter season continues teams are deep into conference play. 

Here are some teams to watch as the season progresses in conference play. 

Boys Basketball

Green Level

The Gators sit at 13-2 overall and a 5-0 conference record.

Last season the Gators finished with an overall record of 29-2 and a conference record of 14-0.

They made it to the fourth round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Richmond. 

 

Sanderson

The Spartans sit at 14-2 overall and a 2-0 conference record.

Last season the Spartans finished with an overall record of 20-9 and a conference record of 8-2.

They made it to the third round of the playoffs but fell on the road to New Hanover. 

 

Holly Springs

The Golden Hawks sit at 11-5 overall and a 4-2 conference record.

Last season the Golden Hawks finished with an overall record of 18-9 and a conference record of 9-5.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Clayton. 

 

Leesville Road

The Pride sit at 10-6 overall and a 1-1 conference record.

Last season the Pride finished with an overall record of 9-14 and a conference record of 4-6.

They did not make the playoffs last season. 

 

Broughton

The Capitals sit at 10-6 overall and a 1-1 conference record.

Last season the Capitals finished with an overall record of 11-15 and a conference record of 5-5.

They did not make the playoffs last season. 

 

Millbrook

The Wildcats sit at 7-9 overall and a 2-0 conference record.

Last season the Wildcats finished with an overall record of 20-8 and a conference record of 9-1.

They made it to the third round of the playoffs but fell at home to Panther Creek. 

 

Heritage

The Huskies sit at 7-9 overall and a 1-1 conference record.

Last season the Huskies finished with an overall record of 14-12 and a conference record of 5-5.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell at home to Garner. 

 

Wakefield

The Wolverines sit at 9-6 overall and a 1-0 conference record.

Last season the Wolverines finished with an overall record of 22-7 and a conference record of 7-3.

They made it to the second round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Green Level. 

Girls Basketball

Southeast Raleigh

The Bulldogs sit at 14-1 overall and a 5-0 conference record.

Last season the Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 20-9 and a conference record of 10-4.

They made it to the third round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Richmond. 

 

Wakefield

The Wolverines sit at 10-3 overall and a 1-0 conference record.

Last season the Wolverines finished with an overall record of 21-7 and a conference record of 8-2.

They made it to the second round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Hoggard.

 

Rolesville

The Rams sit at 8-6 overall and a 1-0 conference record.

Last season the Rams finished with an overall record of 27-5 and a conference record of 10-0.

They made it to the championship round of the playoffs defeating Charlotte Catholic for the NCHSAA 4A State Title. 

 

Apex Friendship

The Patriots sit at 13-3 overall and a 5-1 conference record.

Last season the Patriots finished with an overall record of 9-17 and a conference record of 3-1.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Willow Springs. 

 

Millbrook

The Wildcats sit at 9-6 overall and a 0-2 conference record.

Last season the Wildcats finished with an overall record of 6-19 and a conference record of 4-6.

They did not make the playoffs last season.

 

Green Hope

The Falcons sit at 10-4 overall and a 2-3 conference record.

Last season the Falcons finished with an overall record of 8-14 and a conference record of 4-10.

They made it to the first round of the playoffs falling on the road to Rolesville. 

 

Leesville Road

The Pride sit at 9-4 overall and a 2-0 conference record.

Last season the Pride finished with an overall record of 17-7 and a conference record of 8-2.

They made it to the second round of the playoffs falling on the road to Richmond. 

 

Willow Spring

The Storm sit at 8-5 overall and a 3-1 conference record.

Last season the Storm finished with an overall record of 25-4 and a conference record of 14-0.

They made it to the second round of the playoffs falling on the road to Southeast Raleigh.
