Spring Sports Tryouts
Boys Soccer – February 17, 18,19 – 2:30-4:30
Softball – February 17, 19, 23 – 2:30-4:30
Track – February 18, 19, 23 – 2:30-4:30
ALL ATHLETES MUST REGISTER ONLINE PRIOR TO TRYOUTS AND BE CLEARLY INFORMED BY COACH OWENS FOR ALL SPORTS. NO EXCEPTIONS!
**It is imperative that your athlete completes their Dragonfly account verification to be eligible to try out for any sports. Without this verification, they cannot participate in tryouts. Once cleared by Coach Owens, athletes will be placed on the coach’s roster as cleared for tryouts. If they are not on that roster, they cannot try out.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Dragonfly account verification or athletic clearance, please contact Coach Owens. She will respond to your inquiries within 24-48 hours. She has a lot of athletes, please be patient, she will get back to you.
- COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION (DragonFly Max) before TRYOUTS (LINK BELOW)
- DOWNLOAD THE PHYSICAL FORMS AND HAVE THEM SIGNED BY A DOCTOR (LINK BELOW)
- UPLOAD THE PHYSICAL TO DragonFly Max TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION
- Complete and upload all required forms to the DragonFly account
- Age – Shall not participate if he/she becomes 15 years of age on or before August 31 of said school year
- Proof of Insurance – Insurance information completed
- Physical – Medical (physical) examination within the last year (365 days + 30-day grace period= 395 days) by a duly licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant (doctor of chiropractic medicine is not satisfactory).
- Concussion Information and Concussion Statement – Concussion Information must be read by the student-athlete and the parent/legal custodian. The Concussion Statement must include the student-athlete’s initials and the parent/legal custodian’s signature. This must be done annually (once every 395 days).
- Attendance – The State Board of Education requires at least 85% attendance (no more than 14 total absences) during the previous semester.
- Academics – Students must meet promotion requirements. Students must also earn a passing grade (D or better) in one fewer course than the required core courses each semester to be eligible to participate in the following semester.
- Promotion – Must meet promotion requirements for the previous school year in order to be eligible for the fall semester. The State Board of Education defines promotion as “progressing to the next grade”. Students retained either by the school or the parents will be ineligible.
