We have to verify that all students are eligible. This is why the registration deadline ends days before tryouts begin.

SPRING Sports Eligibility is based on the 1st semester of THIS school year
Tryout Information
- Students must earn passing grades in 70% of courses taken in the SECOND semester of LAST SCHOOL YEAR.
- WCPSS requires students to be in attendance 85% of the previous semester.

If you submitted paperwork in Dragonfly for Fall sports, please go in and check the dates of everything to make sure you do not have any documents expiring. Â

GIRL’S SOFTBALL

BOY’S SOCCER
HEAD COACH – NATHAN POWELL
Soccer tryouts will be February 23 and 24 from 3pm-4:45pm with a single cut. No spectators are allowed at tryouts. Players are to be picked up from the carpool loop at 4:45.Â
First team practice will be February 25.
Tryouts will consist of a combination of small-sided games and 11v11 games.Â
Players will be evaluated on a combination of factors: physical (speed, agility), technical (dribbling, passing, shooting, defending), tactical (game intelligence, creative play, communication), and psychological (positive attitude, readiness, teamwork).Â
All players will need at tryouts:  soccer cleats, shin-guards (mandatory), water bottle and proper soccer attire. Goalkeepers will need their gloves. Safety Note: No jewelry or watches.
