**New Messages**
There is an important meeting for all Parents and students in grades 6 and 7 interested in trying out for any sport team next school year in 2024-25. The meeting is Wednesday, May 15 at 5 pm in the Leesville Middle School gymnasium.
*** Important Message on Registering for Sports in Dragonflymax***
Please check your Dragonfly for completeness of your information and for messages regarding expirations and incorrect forms. Always complete your Dragonfly parts online on Dragonfly and only download the PPE Physical Examination and PPE Medical Eligibility Forms.
There are deadlines for registration to tryout for LRMS Sport Teams in 2024-25. Make sure you complete all Dragonfly forms before the deadline!
Step 1: Your child must be eligible to try out. See the eligibility rules below.
Step 2: Create a Dragonfly account. Rising 8th Graders that are in DragonFly already – you will need to fill out all of the DragonFly paperwork again.
- Choose ALL sports you are interested in trying out for.
- Once you have the athlete’s page, scroll down to the bottom and click “Get Started”. This will guide you through the whole process. There are 2 forms that need to be printed out and taken to the doctor (Physical Examination Form and Medical Eligibility Form). You will print the forms from this site. Upload both forms from the doctor.
- Be sure all boxes are green or it says pending approval. We will approve them as soon as possible.
- Check Dragonfly periodically until we have approved all your paperwork and you have all green boxes.

Hilburn Parents: When you register on Dragonflymax.com, you can select both Hilburn and Leesville Road Middle school, but you must make sure Leesville Road Middle is selected or I will not get your information. Thank you!
For New Transfer Students: Transfer students who would like to try out for a sports team, you must complete the dragonflymax.com online registration (follow the directions above about dragonflymax). In addition, please bring a copy of your report card with attendance record and the year you began grade 7. This is all required to determine eligibility and often times it delays try outs due to these papers being transferred to our school and placed on record. Save a copy of all forms for your own records as well. Thank you!

Eligibility Rules
The following are just the basics for eligibility. Please make sure you scroll down to read the full list.
- You must be in 7th or 8th Grade
- Must not be 15 yrs old before Aug. 31, 2023
- Earn Passing grades in 3/4 Core Classes from the previous semester
- Must be promoted to next grade
- May not have more than 14 abs in the previous semester. There is no difference in excused or unexcused. (Must attend 85% of classes in previous semester)
- Students must be in compliance with 6 semester rule, meet age requirement (listed above) and be promoted to the 2023-2024 school year.
Ticket Prices:
Tickets to the Games are $6. Children under school age who do not attend school are free along with WCPSS ID’s issued to employees of Wake County Public Schools. You can purchase tickets online at gofan.co or at the gate. You may consider purchasing an LMAC season pass. LMAC is Leesville Middle Athletic Club boosters.
