Wake athletes headline East-West All-Star Boys Basketball Game

Sanderson graduating senior Nathan Fife helped lead the East team to a 98-83 win over the West in the N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Boys Basketball Game on Monday night.

The 6-foot-2 guard scored 11 points and recorded two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the win.

In his career at Sanderson, Fife recorded 2,159 points. He averaged 22.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per game as a senior, leading the Spartans to a state playoff semifinal for the first time in school history. He will play college basketball at Northern Michigan.

The East-West All-Star Games are an annual event that puts some of North Carolina’s top graduating seniors from the East against the West. Players are nominated by their high school coaches, then selected by the all-star coaches.

The 2025 East-West All-Star Game was played at the Greensboro Coliseum Fieldhouse.
