Middle Creek Athletic Hall of Fame Information

PURPOSE: 

The Middle Creek High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize the outstanding contributions in athletics among alumni athletes, coaches, athletic trainers, school officials, Stampede Club members, and members of the community.​

INTRODUCTION:

Candidates for the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame may be nominated at any time during the school year. Nomination applications are available online through the MCHS school website and the Stampede Club website. The person(s) nominating an eligible candidate must provide complete contact information in order for a candidate to be nominated.  The form must be completed and returned to the Selection Committee by June 1st.

 Qualifications for Nomination to the MCHS Athletic Hall of Fame:

STUDENT ATHLETE AND/OR TRAINER:

* A graduate of Middle Creek High School.
* Participated in a sport sanctioned by NCHSAA.
* An Alumnus from MCHS a minimum of four years.
* Earned at least 2 varsity letters at MCHS.
* Has exemplified characteristics of integrity, sportsmanship, and citizenship before and after graduation and on the journey to becoming a champion in life.

COACHES/ATHLETIC DIRECTORS:

* Has contributed significantly to MCHS including a minimum of four years as a full time head or assistant coach or AD.
* Has exemplified characteristics of integrity, sportsmanship, and citizenship.
* Contributed above and beyond by encouraging student athletes to become champions in life.

COMMUNITY MEMBERS:

* Has contributed significantly to MCHS through their support of the Middle Creek High School athletic programs.
* Has exemplified characteristics of integrity, sportsmanship, and citizenship.
* Contributed above and beyond by encouraging student athletes to become champions in life.

ONCE A HALL OF FAME MEMBER

Continuing Code of Ethics:

The Hall of Fame Committee in conjunction with the MCHS Stampede Club reserves the right to remove any Hall of Fame membership or members who falls out of favor with Middle Creek High School or the community, in regard to the laws, regulations, and policies governing our community, state or nation.

The Hall of Fame Committee in conjunction with the MCHS Stampede Club reserves the right to remove any Hall of Fame membership or members unbecoming of a community member or alumnus, with regard to their social behavior and conduct.

The Hall of Fame Committee in conjunction with the MCHS Stampede Club reserves the right to remove any Hall of Fame membership or members who cause embarrassment to Wake County Public Schools and Middle Creek High School. It shall require a majority vote of the then-current Hall of Fame Committee and Stampede Club members to remove a member of the Middle Creek High School Hall of Fame from membership activity.
