Welcome to Apex High School, the home of the Cougars. For over 100 years, Apex High School has been a key feature of the Apex community. Apex Athletics has a history of remarkable success both on and off the field. We have won 18 team state championships, along with hundreds of individual state championships and team conference championships. Our student-athletes have made countless contributions in the classroom and the community, exemplifying the emphasis on character and service.

Our Athletic Department extends a special thanks to the Apex Cougar Club for the countless volunteer hours they spend raising the funds to support all of our athletic teams. We strongly encourage all of our fans to become members of the Cougar Club by purchasing an individual, family, or corporate membership. A special note of appreciation is also extended to our “Cougar Crazies” student section, our award-winning cheerleaders, and our decorated marching band. Their spirit and enthusiasm at games is an important part of the wonderful atmosphere of Apex High Athletics.

Apex High School competes in the Southwest Wake Athletic Conference along with Apex Friendship, Cary, Green Hope, Green Level, Holly Springs, Middle Creek, and Panther Creek. Our Athletic Department extends a warm welcome to visiting teams, fans, and officials.
