Apex High School Athletic Training
WELCOME TO THE APEX HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC TRAINING WEBSITE.

Hi, my name is Miles Kliewer and I am the head athletic trainer here at Apex High School. I am a nationally certified and NC state licensed Athletic Trainer. I have been here since the Fall of 1995. I work under the supervision of our team physicians Duke Orthopaedics as well as Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine to provide the best medical care possible for all junior varsity and varsity athletes here at Apex High School. In addition to providing injury prevention, treatments to injuries, and rehabilitation to injuries we also supervise a student sports medicine assistant curriculum. Here at Apex this consists of enrolling into the appropriate Sportsmedicine class (1, 2, 3*, or 4*) and committing to the after school assignment portion of the class. More details about the class/curriculum can be found in the link to the AHS Sportsmedicine Student Assistant Handbook found below. *3 or 4 can be Honors level courses
The goals of this site are as follows:
-To keep the sportsmedicine student assistants at AHS informed of the latest information needed to complete their assigned tasks/duties.
-To keep the student athlete and parent population informed on certain medical information
-To keep all appropriate lines of communication open between the AHS Healthcare Team and the AHS athletes, parents/guardians, coaches, teachers, and administration.
You will also find information about our sports schedules and other important athletic documents. Please enjoy and if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.
